“we cherish the opportunity to return to what we already know”
A core facet of ENYA’s identity is in it’s celebration of tradition, and this concept of seeing ourselves through our own eyes. ‘Enya’ or ‘anya’ is the igbo word for eye—The concept of seeing is used to describe love. In Igbo to love is to see somebody with your eyes, and to see them fully in their humanity. It’s a philosophy that can be found across many African cultures, we emphasize the importance of community and what it means to see each other.

Visual Identity
The visual direction is clean, strong and clear—the logo icon taking its inspiration from the meaning of ‘Enya.’
The color palette is warm, earthy, natural and understated—mirroring the soft yet bold feel of the brand.

Website design and development for the e-commerce store was done on Shopify. For the debut collection, we wanted to feature the imagery and the story of the brand as an introduction to ENYA’s new audience.
